I don't recommend Android Karenina, unless you really, really love Tolstoy. And his length and obfuscations. I'd picked it to review for Amazon, could not make much headway, and after about a year realized that that WAS a review, in and of itself. All the coziness of Tolstoy, persuasive execution of a steampunk setting, but every bit as difficult to read as Tolstoy in the bogging down of detail and the excruciating spin-the-wheel method of referring to the same characters by 3-7 different names. Oy.
You can also find Robopocalypse through your library, I'll bet, though you may like it well enough to want to own it. There's enough richness for multiple rereadings. :)
