i knew that when you started with the moon landing, and the prompt was "tiles", you were going to eventually end up with space shuttles. (i remember when challenger exploded - i was home early from school because we had midterms, and that was all that was on tv, and for a few minutes i was SO CONFUSED. at the time i had a friend who lived not far from cape canaveral, and he was crushed.) i can't imagine how the engineers and subcontractors must have felt, wondering if something they did or didn't do caused the explosion, or the columbia crash. so i really liked this look at it from a nameless subcontractor's pov, and the way he (or she) dealt with the tragedies and kept going, because it's space! and you work in the field because you love it, even knowing how dangerous it is. (for that you get the space icon. :D )
