I didn't expect to like this style, but I really do! It makes me want to try reading some detective stories. And after a second read, I'm realizing that it kind of reminds me of the Dresden Files, the narrative voice, at least, which I really like. I always did want to read more of those...

I am curious though... is he so drunk that he doesn't remember what she looked like? Or did she change her looks drastically? Seems like he'd remember the face of a woman that kissed him so passionately that he still remembers it vividly a couple years later. :)
