I think there's a pretty cool story to tell, about the protagonist's entry and experience with the Souk and the Adjudicator specifically, but as I was writing, I realized that I would never get it to be a cohesive story if I kept writing the novelette that was spilling onto the pages. So this is the teaser, if you will. It'll probably (if I finish it) end up as a lengthy short story that I might actually look to publish.
